-- Time to listen, capacity to act --

I believe in people. Ultimately, whatever you achieve is driven by your unique skills and views, as well as by the individuals you decide to hire to help you get there.

I run a financial advisory practice in downtown Toronto. Licensed in Canada & the USA, I’m proud to work for family offices, trusts, owners, professionals and their families.

I offer expertise in listed securities, alternative investments, funds, separately managed accounts (SMAs) and insurance solutions. My aim is to help clients grow wealth, generate income and protect their interests in a tax efficient manner. In all this, I’m pleased to partner with Raymond James – an established, secure institution and one of the largest independent broker/dealers in Canada and US.

Fascination for markets led to a life-long career in finance. In 1989 I landed my first job with a Dutch bank in Rotterdam, as a junior investment advisor to Dutch pension funds. My clients were savvy money managers running stock and bond portfolios in all kinds of currencies. My job was to find great ideas to help everyone grow their business. This gave me a good view on how money works.

Wanting to work overseas brought me to Sydney Australia in 1995 where, as a credit analyst, I gained a deeper understanding of how businesses are run and financed. That gave me the bigger picture on companies, wealth, risks and how to use money wisely to attain goals.

Returning to Europe , I moved to Luxembourg where I started a family and resumed my role as an advisor for business owners and families using Luxembourg to build and organize wealth. An amazing job, but my ultimate ambition was to build my own business in advisory.

In 2004 we wanted to find a good location to build our client-centric wealth management business and to raise our family. After ample due diligence, Canada and the USA offered us the right setting. When we got visas for Canada, we decided on Toronto and moved across in 2010. That turned out to be a great decision.
